Trees for Cities engages local people to plant and care for trees in cities worldwide. They mobilise communities to plant and maintain urban woodlands in parks, neighbourhood trees on streets and estates, and edible playgrounds in schools. They deliver projects across London growing stronger neighbourhoods, enhancing urban landscapes and improving health and happiness.
Volunteering is at the heart of everything they do. As a small team, they rely on volunteers to help them plant and care for 20,000 trees each year. Supporting their greening projects is a positive, fun, energetic opportunity to meet people and improve local city spaces.
