How Good Deed Dating Works

In a nutshell, we coordinate volunteering events for single people in London.

There are 3 simple steps to finding love with us:

It’s that easy.  Keen to give it a go? We’ll see you there.

Book your first event today

How much does it cost?

We do our very best to keep our prices as low as we can to make Good Deed Dating accessible to as many people as possible.  And we give you options to pay monthly or annually for your membership.  All you need to buy after that is your ticket to each event.

Monthly membership: £10

Annual membership: £25

After that, tickets for events usually cost around £12 each.

Where does your money go?

We are a not-for-profit social enterprise which means we aim to do some good in the world and as part of that promise, we donate 25% of our profit to our charity partners at the end of each year.  The other 75% goes towards making our events even better.  So you can rest assured that your money is going to great causes and helping to spread love in London.

Remember that you are not paying to volunteer with us (you can volunteer for free anywhere – and we actively encourage that!), you are paying for our service, to introduce you to kind hearted single people.

Why it works

We know that everyone wants to make a difference in the world, so why not make that difference while you date?

You’ll meet people who share your interests, care about the things you care about and most importantly, people who want to meet someone just like you.

FAQs

Just a few of the questions we get asked, but if you would like to ask us something that isn’t here, just get in contact.

Logistical Questions

We understand that your plans will change from time to time.  All we ask is that you tell us if you can’t attend the event with as much notice as possible.  It means we can contact our waiting list for the event to give someone else a chance to come along, and that the charity has enough people to run the event so everyone has a great time.  You can cancel your ticket at any time in your account.  However, you will only get a refund up to 48 hours before the event.

Tickets for events often sell out pretty quickly but we usually release more tickets in the run up to the event so it’s always worth joining the waiting list.  All you need to do is click the waiting list button on the event page and wait for a notification when we release more tickets or someone cancels their ticket.  Everyone on the waiting list will get notified at the same time (it’s not done on a first come first served basis) so don’t hang about to buy your ticket if you get a notification!

All the details you need are on the events page.  You will also receive reminders about the event in the days leading up to it. If you have any questions, please email nathalie@gooddeeddating.co.uk and she will be able to send you all the details.

You need to be a paying member to sign up to our events. There are two membership options – monthly membership is £10 and can be set for automatic renewal, or you can be a member for a whole year for just £25!

You can do this at any time very easily on your account profile.

No, your profile is private so other deeders won’t be able to see it on a day to day basis. However, once you have been to a date, your first name and photo will be available for the deeders you met at your event to see, where they can choose to share their contact details with up to two people from the event.

Not right now but we are currently building one, so stay tuned!

Dating Questions

It’s the charity that decides how many deeders they would like at each event, but as a general rule the very minimum is 6 with an average group size of 8-10 deeders.

No, Good Deed Dating is not like speed dating. We prefer a much more relaxed approach to dating so rather than chatting with lots of different people for 3 minutes each, you’ll be spending time doing an activity with a like-minded group of singles. We think this is a much better way of getting to know someone, and so do our members!

Plenty of people meet people they like at Good Deed Dating! We don’t matchmake people like other companies, so make sure you swap numbers before the end of the date. Or if that seems a little daunting, don’t worry! You can also choose to message up to 2 people after your date via our website with your number and get chatting that way 🙂

At the moment we don’t, but we are planning to launch our first LGBT events before the end of 2017. Want to come to one? Please get in touch with nathalie@gooddeeddating.co.uk as we would love to hear from you!

We currently are just based in London, but that is all set to change. Expansion is on the horizon, starting with a one-off pop-ups in various cities. Want us to come to your city? E-mail nathalie@gooddeeddating.co.uk as we would love to hear from you!

Some of our events do sell out very quickly and we know that can be annoying! The good news is you can sign up for e-mail alerts through our website, which means you will get a notification straight to your inbox every time a new event goes live. Just enter your e-mail address on the website, and never miss an event again!  You can also follow us on social media as we post when we have new events.  Or simply look out for notifications through your Good Deed Dating account.

We run dates for all ages, so there should be an event for you on our site. All our events are open to anyone, however, each event has a suggested age category to give you an idea of who you might meet at an event.  These categories are split into 20-35, 30-45, 40-55 and 50+.

Charity Questions

The short answer is, some of it.  Good Deed Dating is a social enterprise, meaning all our profits are re-invested back into both our charity partners and keeping the business running. The entire cost of your ticket does not go directly to charity, but at the end of the year we split 25% of our overall profits between our charity partners. This means that part of the cost of your ticket does go towards helping our amazing charities and the rest goes towards running Good Deed Dating.

We’re always love to hear about potential new charity partners! If you work for a charity or can put us in touch with a project that you think could benefit from partnering with Good Deed Dating, then please get in touch by e-mailing nathalie@gooddeeddating.co.uk

No, in fact it’s the opposite! It’s completely free for our charity partners to work with Good Deed Dating – and they actually benefit from a portion of 25% of our profits at the end of each year.
